Local Resident Turns to Permanent
Makeup to Remove Tattoo
She was tired of her 7-year old tattoo, which boldly stated her
ex-husbands name on her left breast.

Dubois is one of many tattoo-clad people turning to an alternative
method for tattoo removal - permanent makeup.
The North Las Vegas
resident got tired of her 7-year old tattoo, which boldly stated her
ex-husband's name in black on her left breast, so she decided to find a
way to get rid of it. She researched different companies that
handle tattoo removal via laser treatments, but her comfort level led

Arnold said that while
other tattoo removal methods are available - such as dermabrasion, skin
removal or lasers - permanent cosmetics gaining in popularity and is
less expensive. In many cases, the other treatments can cause
scarring, don't completely eliminate the tattoo, and can create
discomfort or pain. Permanent cosmetics, on the other hand,
involve the use of saline products that virtually lift the pigment out
of the skin. The procedure lightens the tattoo to camouflage over
any remaining pigment or can remove it completely. Since this
procedure does not cause scars and can be done using an anesthetic to
eliminate any discomfort, it is an ideal choice for tattoo removal.
"Permanent makeup has
alterative uses nowdays," Arnold said. "many of our customers seek
tattoo removal and are extremely pleased with the results."
